Smithsonian Photo Contest
Every year Smithsonian magazine sponsors a photography contest. Last year I saw some of the winners on display in one of the museums. This year, as a subscriber to the magazine, I received an e-mail reminding me to vote for the Reader’s Choice Award.
These are the photos I was really drawn to:
“Bronx teenager playing baseball” — The lighting, the shadows, the expression on the boy’s face… I love this picture. Love it.
“Amber firefly” — Great timing.
“Racing bulls” — I like the composition and balance in this photograph. It’s a great action shot.
“Great White Egret” — I want to frame this and look at it every day.
If you look at the entries, please let me know which ones you like best in the comments. I’d be interested to hear about what others find appealing.
